Digital Technologies

Digital Technologies offer a range of computing subjects throughout years 7 to 12 which provide students with practical opportunities to develop design thinking, computing knowledge and to become innovative developers of digital solutions. These subjects help students to become adept creators of digital solutions, effective users of digital systems and critical consumers of information conveyed by digital systems.

Lower School

The Year 7 and 8 students participate in two classes a week for one semester in each of those years and cover a range of topics in the Western Australian Curriculum over a range of software platforms.

Areas covered:

• Effective research
• Binary
• Networking
• Computer hardware
• Build skill in presentation using various software 

Middle School

In years 9 and 10 classes are optional and run for one semester duration.

Upper School

In the senior school, Churchlands offer ATAR courses in both Computer Science and Applied Information Technology (AIT) as well as AIT General.
